DanceWest Teaching team

Our programmes and classes are delivered by a team of professional dance teachers and assistants. They bring a wealth of expertise across a wide range of areas, including movement adaptation for disabilities, dance for Dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke recovery and youth work.

All teachers and assistants:

  • Are DBS-checked and fully insured to teach dance.

  • Follow our rigorous safeguarding policies for children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

  • Comply with our Health and Safety procedures.

  • Adhere to our GDPR requirements.

  • Majority of our teachers are First Aid trained.

  • Certificates of training and qualifications are available on request, with all relevant details provided in advance of any activity.

Beth Ackroyd
Beth holds a BA (Hons) in Dance Studies, an MSc in Dance Science, and CBTS accreditation. She teaches across DanceWest, Sadler’s Wells, and RAD Step into Dance and works as an academic tutor, adjudicator, and researcher.

Elise Antonia
Elise trained in Street Dance for over 11 years and performs with UK Hip Hop Theatre company BirdGang. She teaches all ages and abilities, creating engaging and adaptable classes while performing across national theatres and festivals.

Caitlin Barnett
Caitlin trained at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and has worked in immersive theatre, contemporary dance, and music videos. She teaches young dancers, college students and professionals, fostering creativity and positive energy in her classes.

Danielle Capretti
Danielle trained at Dance District, Toronto, and has taught 70s Disco Fever since 2008. She works with Sadler’s Wells, Rambert, Open Age, AgeUK and has taught extensively in community and professional settings across London.

Parbati Chaudhury
Parbati is a choreographer, performer, and teacher, trained in Kathak and theatre. Her work has been commissioned by English National Ballet and Akademi. She teaches independently and with Pagrav Dance Company, leading classes for schools and community groups.

Natalie Dodd
Natalie trained at Susan Robinson's School of Ballet and Rambert School (BA Hons, First Class) and earned a Master’s in Dance for Parkinson’s from NSCD. She has performed professionally and taught for Rambert, Mark Bruce Company, The Place, Trinity Laban, and numerous schools, working with children, adults, and older adults. Natalie is also a movement creator, examiner, and Rambert Grades ambassador.

Yasmin Edwards
Yasmin’s training spans classical and street dance styles. She has worked with BirdGang Ltd, Avant Garde Dance while teaching all ages and abilities in schools, studios, and youth companies across the UK.

Kate Finegan
Kate trained at Laban and holds a City & Guilds Teaching Certificate. She specialises in contemporary dance and creative movement, with a focus on Dance for Health and intergenerational projects. She teaches in schools, community settings and private studios.

Delene Gordon
Delene is a freelance dance artist and educator with a degree from The Northern School of Contemporary Dance and a PGCE. She has over ten years’ experience in secondary and tertiary education, improving participation and achievement in dance. Delene teaches a variety of styles, from Contemporary and Jazz to Salsa and African, and is a qualified Zumba instructor, massage therapist and trainee Biodynamic Psychotherapist.

Ellyn Hebron
Ellyn graduated from London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS) in 2013 and completed an MA in 2018. She has performed internationally and teaches adults & children at The Place and in educational settings.

Hanna Wroblewski
Hanna is a London-based dance and yoga teacher with 20 years’ experience. She holds a BA in Dance Pedagogy, an MFA in Choreography, and a 300hr yoga certification. Hanna teaches across age groups and abilities, delivering workshops for Dance Umbrella, and the UN GirlUp Summit.

Honor Roche
Honor is an IDTA Associate Ballroom & Latin American instructor with over 10 years’ teaching experience. A former competitive dancer and graduate of Central School of Speech & Drama, she has performed on major TV, film, and theatre productions including Bridgerton and Strictly Come Dancing.

Carol Victoria
Carol trained at Urdang Academy and Arts Educational London. She has over 10 years’ teaching experience, performing professionally in West End, TV, and film. She teaches all ages, including dancers with disabilities and older adults, across a wide range of dance styles.

Corinne Meredith
Corinne is a freelance community dance and theatre artist with an MA from King’s College London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Dance from Trinity Laban. She works with youth companies, Sadler’s Wells, the National Youth Dance Company and community projects.

Shannon McAvoy
Shannon trained at The Young Americans College, Hubbard Street, and Broadway Dance Center. She has performed in musicals, cruise shows, and variety productions and teaches musical theatre, jazz, tap and street dance across all ages.

Nicholas Norman
Nicholas is a choreographer, teacher, and performer trained at Urdang Academy and Middlesex University (BA, MA). His professional experience includes West End productions, commercial dance and international projects. He is a Royal Academy of Dance teacher and Trinity Arts Award advisor.

Patricia Okenwa
Patricia trained in Jivamukti and perinatal yoga and has over 15 years’ dance experience including 12 years with Rambert Dance Company. She teaches yoga and contemporary dance, working with schools, companies and community groups.

Ryan Munroe
Ryan trained at London Contemporary Dance School and has performed, choreographed, and movement-directed internationally in dance, theatre, and opera. He works with diverse groups across schools, communities and supports young people pursuing arts careers with The Place and Paddington Arts.

Juliana Ruiz Torres
Juliana is an interdisciplinary dance artist and educator, blending contemporary dance, somatics, and improvisation. She earned an MFA in Dance and Embodied Practice from the University of Roehampton in 2023.

Caroline Rutzler
Caroline has 30 years’ experience in dance education, teaching in schools and higher education. She is a qualified Pilates instructor and specialises in rehabilitation for spinal and neurological conditions.

Anna Smith
Anna trained at The BRIT School and Rambert School, and works with Sadler’s Wells Outreach, English National Ballet Parkinson Dance Programme and BalletFolk. She has performed professionally and collaborated with choreographers such as Richard Alston.

Simone Sistarelli
Simone is a dance artist and musician, founder of Popping For Parkinson’s, and teaches dance to children and older adults. He has over 12 years’ teaching experience and is soon completing an MSc in Dance Psychology.

Skye Volkins
Skye trained at the Royal Academy of Dance, completing her BA (Hons) in Ballet Education and Licentiate. She is a passionate teacher, creating a supportive environment that inspires dancers of all ages to reach their potential.

Moyra Cecilia Silva Rodriguez
Moyra is a Peruvian choreographer and teacher, blending contemporary dance, physical theatre, and martial arts. She works internationally, facilitating inclusive workshops and holding a BA in Performing Arts, Erasmus Mundus MA, and a UK Global Talent Visa in Performing Arts.

Jane Woolley
Jane trained at Trinity Laban and LCDS (MA), specialising in creative practice, somatics, and dance pedagogy. She teaches across community and formal education, including universities, and delivers yoga sessions focusing on rehabilitation and wellbeing.
