OUR IMPACT
Community & Connection
Over the past decade, we have partnered with communities to co-design dance programmes shaped by local priorities and lived experience. These programmes address loneliness, poor health, food insecurity and social exclusion. We engage older people, disabled adults, children and low-income families. DanceWest delivers initiatives that strengthen physical wellbeing, reduce isolation and foster a stronger sense of connection by enabling people to move, create and participate together.
Our Mission in Action
We run our own building and deliver 72 weekly activities in schools, libraries, care homes, sheltered housing schemes, community centres, hospitals and local authority sports centres in eight London boroughs.

Our Story
Founded in 2014 and established as a registered charity in 2018, DanceWest continues to widen access to high-quality dance and movement programmes across West London. The work reflects a clear commitment to health, inclusion and artistic opportunity, ensuring dance remains available to those who benefit from it most. DanceWest was founded by choreographer and producer Rosie Whitney-Fish, driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in her community. We are a trusted cultural anchor: visible, accessible, and recognised locally as a safe, inclusive space.
