Freelance Producer, 3 days per week (Deadline 19th of February 2026)

DanceWest is expanding! We are seeking an experienced Producer to join our team on a freelance basis 3 days per week.

This is a strategic delivery role suited to someone with a substantial background in producing and managing community dance, participatory arts and inclusive practice. You will deliver a range of high-impact projects engaging a wide cross-section of communities from early years to older adults, across diverse cultural, social and health contexts.

This role requires leadership, clarity of communication, care and a deep understanding of co-creation, social impact and sustainable community relationships. You will be responsible for ensuring DanceWest's projects are community-driven, artistically excellent and professionally delivered.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in arts producing, project management, with a strong focus on community and participation.

  • Positive and can-do attitude.

  • Demonstrable leadership in managing multi-partner, cross-sector projects and programmes.

  • Producing experience and ability to hit the ground running.

  • Deep knowledge of inclusive dance practice and community engagement methodologies

  • Proven track record of delivering in dance, arts and health

  • High-level communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative within a values-led framework

  • Experience of artist development.

  • Contractual experience and supporting freelance teams.

  • DBS check

Desirable

  • Profile in the UK dance or community sector.

  • Knowledge of the West London cultural and civic landscape

  • Experience in trauma-informed, co-creation or place-based practice

  • Familiarity with Arts Council England and charitable sector funding mechanisms

Fee: £200 per day 3 days per week.

Contract: Freelance initially April-July, with potential to extend to a part-time post in September 2026.

Location: On-site and with delivery across West London.

  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder community dance projects across West London

  • Ensure all programmes reflect DanceWest's commitment to excellence, inclusion and care, adapting delivery to meet the needs of diverse communities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for artists, partners, venues and community stakeholders, maintaining clear and proactive communication

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, oversee freelance teams and monitor budgets to ensure efficient and accountable delivery

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, maintaining flexibility to respond to changing circumstances.

Freelance Dance teacher - K-Pop specialist (on-going)

DanceWest is looking for a vibrant K-Pop Dance Teacher to bring high-energy choreography and performance skills to children and teens. This role requires strong teaching ability, creativity, and knowledge of current K-Pop trends to inspire and motivate students in a fun, supportive environment.

£40 per session x 2 / £80 per afternoon/ £800 per term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging K-Pop dance classes for children and teens.

  • Teach choreography, performance techniques, and musicality in an age-appropriate way.

  • Foster confidence, teamwork, and self-expression in students.

  • Support the organisation of showcases, performances, and workshops.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience teaching K-Pop, commercial, or performance dance.

  • Energetic, approachable, and motivational teaching style.

  • Knowledge of current K-Pop music and choreography trends.

  • Relevant dance teaching or performing arts qualifications are advantageous.

Freelance Teacher - Gymnastics and Acro specialist (on-going)

DanceWest is seeking a dynamic and skilled Gymnastics, Tricks, Flips & Acro Teacher to inspire children and teens in a safe, high-energy environment. You will deliver classes that develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence through gymnastics, acrobatics, tumbling and acro techniques

£40.00 per sessions (sessions 45 minutes to 1 hour)

Two per Thursday 3.30-5.30

Term time

£80 per afternoon/ £800 per term

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach engaging gymnastics, acrobatics, tumbling, and acro classes.

  • Ensure all sessions adhere to safety standards while keeping activities fun and inclusive.

  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

  • Collaborate with the DanceWest team to develop programmes, workshops, and showcases.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Gymnastics and or Acro Teacher

  • Proven experience in gymnastics, acrobatics, acro, or related disciplines.

  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and risk assessment.

  • Energetic, approachable, and confident leading groups of children or teens.

  • Relevant qualifications in gymnastics, acrobatics, or sports education are highly desirable.
