Move it Mondays

A vibrant, free dance programme for Disabled & Learning Disabled Children and Young People aged 11-24 years.

Join us every Monday in the inviting Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith for an exciting and inclusive dance experience like no other. Led by a dedicated team of supportive and inspiring DanceWest teachers, Move it Mondays is tailored to empower young people with disabilities and learning difficulties.

Through our engaging classes, participants will boost their physical confidence while learning awesome dance routines and building lasting friendships. It's a fantastic opportunity to express oneself through movement, all in a fun and dynamic environment.

  • Class structure: Drop-off or supported by parent/carer.

  • Days Mondays

  • Times: 5.00-6.00pm

  • Ages:11-24 years

  • Spring Term: Monday 19 February - Thursday 28 March

  • Summer Term: Monday 22nd April - Saturday 6th July 2024.

  • Bank Holiday and Half Term: Classes will not run on Monday 6th May and from Monday 27th - Thursday 30th May.

  • Running time: 1-hour.

Meet the teacher: Simone is passionate about inspiring people he was awarded the Universal Hip Hop Museum Hall of Fame for his contribution to Hip Hop Culture. Original member of the Red Bull Academy UK. Simone has over 12 years of teaching experience, specialising in dance for Parkinson's, dance for older people and dance for children. Simone has a BA in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance; soon he will have a MSc in Dance Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire.
