Dance for Dementia

Nurturing mind and body through stimulating dance classes

Dance for Dementia by DanceWest supports adults living with Dementia to build physical confidence and develop cognitive stimulation.

Dance combines physical and cognitive stimulation. Research has shown that learning movement can slow down the effects of Dementia on the body and brain. ‘

Picking up steps, improvisation challenges and changes in the choreography from week to week help to provide a mental and a physical workout’.

Our sessions enable adults to move to develop strength, balance and have fun. We deliver Dance for Dementia in care homes, community centres and sheltered housing.
