DanceWest has announced a series of classes at the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith and the DanceWest studio. With classes taking place morning, after school and in the evening there is no excuse not to move into 2023!

Free Holiday Club

Free Holiday Club! Exclusively for children 4-11 years receiving free school meals or families receiving Universal Credit who live in Hammersmith & Fulham.
Take part in a festive programme of dance activities, workshops led by our award winning team of teachers and special guest choreographers.
A hot lunch will be provided each day. Parents and carers can sign up for an entire week or day by day. Limited places available. more here

Dance for Dementia

DanceWest is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly organised General Manager.
The General Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of DanceWest with particular focus on the systems and operations of our studio.
You will lead our administration and play a lead role in operations, HR and policy, as well as a supporting role in compliance, governance and planning.
Full-time based at the DanceWest Studio in Hammersmith & Fulham

Keeping you safe in class

In light of the Omicron variant we are operating a reduced programme at our studio and in the community this January. We will be announcing new classes and introducing programmes steadily this term. We have implemented the following measures in all of our classes to keep everyone safe but still dancing!
DanceWest staff & teachers:
Lateral Flow Tests: We are asking every teacher to test twice a week.
Isolation: If the teacher tests positive then we will ask that they isolate for 7 days and a cover teacher will be arranged if required.
Masks on entry and exit: We ask all teachers to wear a mask into the venue and out of the venue.
Ventilation: We have asked our team to ensure the windows are open during the class.
Washing of hands: We ask our team to wash their hands before and after each class.
In class:
We will encourage social distancing, so limit contact between participants and encourage them not to connect, touch or support.
We will supply our own sound system to limit the use of equipment.
If equipment is used in the session (for example resistance bands, balls and mats). DanceWest will supply these and disinfect after each use.
